Created in Community: Portraits of Pulse

Through Aug 23

This one opened on the 10th anniversary of June 12, 2016. Community-created portraiture honoring the 49 victims of the Pulse nightclub tragedy, along with survivors and first responders.

The exhibit represents collective healing through art — an insistence on visibility and remberance.

The Hurston — Eatonville

Eatonville — the first incorporated Black municipality in the US, founded in 1887 — is ten minutes from downtown Orlando and still mostly unknown to people who didn't grow up near it. The Hurston offers tours and serves as a living storybook filled with rich Orlando history.
